Introduction
In GoldenEgg, 4 teams of 1, 2, or 4 players battle in the void from their respective islands. Each participant’s goal is to collect and store as much gold as possible in their egg. To achieve this, players must build platforms to gather gold ingots and nuggets that fall from the sky into predefined zones.
Be Frugal
Collected gold serves as the currency for acquiring all in-game items. By clicking on your team’s egg, you can purchase weapons, pickaxes, and blocks. Since the gold is shared across the team, players must avoid overspending.

Watch Your Opponents
Each respawn after death costs a certain amount of gold, which increases as the game progresses. If your reserves run too low, you cannot rejoin the fight until a teammate replenishes the egg’s gold.
Additionally, opponents can steal your reserves by mining your egg. Stored gold gradually spills out, and for a few seconds after each loss, the egg becomes temporarily unrefillable (indicated by a shaking animation).
If your team runs out of gold and no teammates are alive to collect more, your team is eliminated.
Spend Wisely
You can protect your egg by setting traps. Each trap activates when an enemy starts mining. Different trap types vary in effectiveness
- Alert Trap notifies teammates via a sound cue and on-screen message. Ideal for manual defense.
- Wave Trap knocks enemies away from the egg. Less effective if opponents shield themselves.
- Lightning Trap deals heavy damage to attackers near the egg. Effectiveness depends on enemy armor levels.
Armor, obtained through the egg’s interface, applies to the entire team and lasts until the game ends. This is a strategic investment.

Choose the Right Strategy
There are two ways to win. You can focus on defense, protecting your egg and maximizing gold storage to become the wealthiest team by the time limit.
Alternatively, you can play aggressively, spending gold to steal opponents’ reserves and eliminate them quickly.
